Reading Camp

To inculcate reading habit among the school children and to teach information literacy skills, Library launched a “Reading Camp” at WP/PIL/Bodhiraja Vidyalaya – a primary school located near University of Moratuwa. There are about 70 children studying in this primary school.

“Reading Camp” is conducted every Wednesdays at Bodhiraja Vidyalaya by members of the Library staff.

Into Nature – 7th Session

Reading camp18On 30th April, 2014, a documentary video on “Knuckles Mountain Range” produced by Wildlife Conservation Department was shown to students. Mr. Anura Kiriella coordinated the programme. Technical assistance was provided  by Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr.  Chamara Herath.

Into Nature – 6th Session

rc17On 23rd March, 2014, students watched a documentary video on “Sri Lankan Deer” produced by Wildlife Conservation Department. Based on the video, students did an information literacy assignment. Technical assistance was provided  by Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr.  Manjula Jayathilaka.

Into Nature – 5th Session

Into the Nature 5On Tuesday, 18th March, 2014  students made speeches on selected 'Endemic animals in Sri Lanka". Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Thushara Bandaranayake provided the technical assistance.
